Saturday evening, after many many hours of laboring all day to get the kids to do a few chores, we went over to Olson's for a BBQ and some swim time. The kids had a blast. , Britton had rigged up a big screen and we watched a movie out in their back yard.

So everyone thought it would be fun to take Fletcher with us, and let him go swimming. Supposedly he loves the water.

It took a bit of persuasion

And finally success

Only it didn't last long. He didn't seem to trust me much after this.

Sandra basking in the moonlight.

Cammie fell asleep during the movie, as we were getting ready to go home, Renee picked her up and I think found out about one of the less fun parts of kids. But, we had a great time.

On Friday Minday had a couple of friends over to play after school. After about 30 min of discussion they finally decided that they did want to go play in the water.

I think the water drops look cool in these pictures. Jessica sure liked being in charge of the hose.

A sad day

Yesterday was a sad day.

This absolutely delicious and yummy looking piece of cheesecake got eaten. This was the last piece from my birthday cheesecake my darling husband bought for me from the Cheesecake Factory. It was a large Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cheesecake, and better than this picture looks. Andrew was concerned that we would take forever to finish it off. I think the real concern needs to be how fast we (I) managed to eat it all. I did truly savor every bit of this slice, slowly letting the rich creamy chocolate melt in my mouth. Loving the little chocolate chips in the top layer and very flavorful swirls of raspberry in the middle layer. The crust was a very dense dark layer of chocolate cake. I am already missing my daily fix of this wonderful treat.

Travis's Shower

Last night Travis was in need of a shower. He thinks he has found a new way to take care of this basic need.

He was especially excited about the new hairstyle. No need for gel, just a little dog spit will do it.

On a positive note, it may cut down on our water bill.

EWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!

Cammie started pre-school today. How sad, my youngest is growing up. Here she is ready to go to her first day.
Lucky me, I got to spend my first day alone at the dentist, getting a filling. Now I have a nice sore spot on my cheek where I kept biting it while it was numb.

Fletcher

Here is our new dog, Fletcher. I finally caved on the dog issue, and now all the kids like me. We got him about a month ago from a rescue organization. Due to some health problems his previous owner was having he had to be put up for adoption. We were the lucky family that got him. The kids all love him.

Who needs fish when you can catch a dog?

I don't think he quite undertands

the concept of baseball.

What a great pillow.
